CPR holds 1st Quarter Board Presentation Meeting

Luanda, 27 April 2009 - UNDP-Angola Crisis Prevention and Recovery (CPR) cluster held its First Quarter Board Presentation Meeting on April 23 rd, to brief the national partner (National Demining Institute - INAD) and the donor (Japanese Embassy) on its 2009 activities.

 

On the occasion, it was explained the concept of Land Release, Explosive Ordinance Device (EOD), Quality Assurance Training, as well as updated its audience on the infrastructural clearance achievements of INAD.

The Japanese Embassy was represented by its 1 st secretary, Mr. Ken Kondo.

Meanwhile, CPR scheduled a joint meeting (UNDP, FAO, Civil Protection, National Water Directorate and Cunene Bassin Cabinet) for May 11.

The meeting is expected to discuss the Early Warning System Management in Angola.

CPR also scheduled a one-day workshop, on May 14 th, in the UN Conference Room, to design the agenda for the forthcoming Contingency planning.
