What We Do
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is the UN’s global development network, working in 177 countries and territories. In Angola, under the overarching goal of poverty eradication UNDP focuses on four inter-connected thematic areas: Poverty Reduction and Achievement of the SDGs, Democratic Governance, Crisis Prevention and Recovery, and Sustainable Environment (Energy and Environment).
Since 1977, UNDP Angola will effectively support the country in its efforts to consolidate peace and national reconstruction. UNDP Angola has aligned its programme cycle with the Government planning cycle within the United Nations Development Assistance Framework (UNDAF).
