Crisis Prevention and Recovery Brochure (Portuguese version)
This first Crisis Prevention and Recovery Brochure provides an overview of the new programme of the Crisis Prevention and Recovery that the UNDP Angola plans to launch very soon. It describes the current situation, the suspect areas, the state of cooperation with beneficiary organizations that are the INAD and CNIDAH as the main donor that is Japan. UNDP commits itself to continuing to support the Government of Angola in its efforts to provide a better and more secure environment for its people.
In response to these challenges, UNDP Angola launched a new Crisis Prevention and Recovery Unit in 2010. Drawing on UNDP regional and global technical expertise, through the Bureau of Crisis Prevention and Recovery (BCPR), this unit provides specialised support to the Government of Angola in addressing the multiple threats posed by landmines, ERW, natural disaster and the proliferation of illegal small arms and armed violence. The proposed Crisis Prevention and Recovery strategy marks a concerted effort to help address these impediments to human security and economic growth in a comprehensive, inclusive and sustainable manner.
