Goal Four: Reduce child mortality

Target one: Reduce by half the proportion of people living on less than on dollar a day by 2015

• 68% of people live on less than on 1.7 dollar a day.
• The Government has stated that it will reduce by half the proposing of people living on extreme poverty by 2015.
•  
• Under-five mortality rate (number of deaths per 1000 live births) has slightly decreased from 260‰ in 2003 to 154 in 2007.
